A bearing is a device that allows a rotational movement between two objects. They are generally found in machines where two elements rotate relative to each other along a defined axis of rotation. There are many types of bearings, each of which has its own advantages and disadvantages. Among the most common types are ball bearings, roller bearings and thrust bearings (ball, needle, roller).

Description

Tapered bearings consist of two parts. There is the cone which is the inner part with the rollers and the bowl which is the outer cage. This construction allows the bearing to be able to withstand much greater combined loads (i.e. axial or radial loads).

Les roulements coniques se composent de deux parties. Il y a le cône qui est la partie intérieure avec les rouleaux et la cuvette qui est la cage extérieure. Cette construction permet au roulement de pouvoir supporter des charges combinées bien plus importantes (c’est-à-dire des charges axiales ou radiales).
